The demands placed on industrial plastic products are constantly evolving: in addition to functionality and quality, topics such as labelling, individualisation and brand presence are becoming increasingly important. In order to meet these requirements, we have specifically expanded our machinery: a new high-performance pad printing machine from ITW Morlock now complements our production in Oberhonnefeld. The investment in the new printing machine is a direct response to the increasing demand for integrated solutions. More and more companies want to consciously dispense with additional goods movements and simplify their supply chains.
High-performance printing technology for industrial applications
The new system is a modern pad printing machine for industrial use. With an output of up to 2,000 cycles per hour, it enables economical and high-precision series processing, even for large quantities.
The pad printing plays a particularly important role in technical plastic parts PVC dipped parts its strengths. The flexible printing process means that even complex geometries and structured surfaces can be printed reliably. This is a decisive advantage, as many components do not have flat surfaces and still need to be clearly labelled.
Within HAMCO production, the new machine is primarily used to apply company logos, operating and safety instructions as well as application-specific labelling directly onto plastic products. The use of QR codes is also an option here. In addition, existing relief structures can also be highlighted in colour to visually support functions or operating elements.
Flexibility thanks to multi-colour printing and precise print images
A key advantage of the new system is its flexibility: the maximum print image size is Ø 80 mm, which means that a wide range of requirements can be reproduced - from simple markings to more complex layouts.
The option of multi-colour printing is particularly noteworthy. This means that not only can logos be realised true to the original, but functional aspects can also be improved. For example, coloured markings make it easier to find your way around the component or support intuitive operation. At the same time, high-quality printing helps to visibly increase the value of a product.
This opens up additional design scope for designers, as labelling no longer necessarily has to be implemented downstream or externally. Instead, they can already be considered as an integral part of the component during the development phase.
Brand presence directly on the product
Another trend that emphasises the investment in the new machine is the desire of many companies for a stronger brand presence. Technical products are increasingly seen as brand ambassadors.
The direct printing of logos and individual labelling creates a professional and uniform appearance. The labelling is durable, abrasion-resistant and remains intact even under demanding operating conditions. At the same time, recognisability is increased and the risk of confusion is reduced.

Integration into existing production processes
A key advantage of the new pad printing machine is its complete integration into the existing production process at HAMCO. Printing takes place directly in-house and is therefore closely interlinked with the upstream production steps.
This leads to significantly leaner processes. Throughput times are shortened, coordination efforts are reduced and quality remains consistently high across all production steps. This process reliability pays off for series projects in particular, as it enables reliable and predictable implementation.

Sustainability through reduced logistics
In addition to economic aspects, sustainability is also playing an increasingly important role. The internal handling of the printing process reduces transport routes and thus actively contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions.
At the same time, the need for additional packaging is reduced and the risk of transport damage is minimised. These effects not only contribute to ecological goals, but also have a positive impact on process stability and efficiency.
Conclusion: More efficiency, quality and customer proximity
With the new pad printing machine, HAMCO is specifically expanding its expertise in the field of industrial labelling and product finishing. The combination of high performance, flexible application and complete integration into in-house production creates clear added value for customers.
The investment is therefore a logical step towards meeting increasing market requirements and at the same time further improving efficiency, sustainability and quality.
