Hand tools are used in many companies and industries. Plastic handles play an important role in the manufacturing industry, especially in the field of tool, machine and equipment construction. HAMCO manufactures handles in a wide variety of designs and profiles. Whether hammers, screwdrivers, levers on machines or other applications - our handles are available in a wide range of materials, diameters and variants.

There is a wide range of materials available for injection moulding - TPE, LDPE and soft PVC are just a few examples. In the dip moulding process, we offer handles in both bead profile and soft PVC.

Functional properties of plastic handles

Plastic handles offer a number of functional advantages:

Ergonomics: The handles can be designed to fit comfortably in the hand and provide a secure grip.
Temperature insulation: Plastics conduct heat less well than metals, which makes them suitable for applications with high temperatures.
Chemical resistance: Many plastics are resistant to chemicals and corrosion.
Material combination: Two-component technology (2K technology) makes it possible to manufacture parts from different materials that combine different properties in one product. For example, hard and soft components can be combined to ensure both stability and grip.

Special solutions from HAMCO

If a requirement cannot be covered by our standard range, we will manufacture customised components for your project. Customised solutions are often required, especially in the dipping process.

For example, we have produced a pair of pliers with a two-colour coating for the electrical sector: Firstly, a direct coating was applied with the smooth standard material. A second layer with a bead profile was then dipped on top. In this way, the thin wall thickness of the coating is noticed in good time when the bead profile wears off and the layer of a different colour underneath becomes visible. In this way, the safety risk posed by an insufficient wall thickness of the coating is counteracted.

Construction industry: Plastic hand tools are frequently used in the construction sector. These include, for example, spatulas and trowels for plastering and painting work, plastic hammers for the gentle treatment of sensitive surfaces or spirit levels with plastic housings.
Food industry: Plastic tools are particularly popular in food processing as they are hygienic and easy to clean. Examples include stirrers and ladles, cutting boards and knives with plastic handles as well as filling aids and dosing tools.
Automotive industry: The automotive industry uses plastic tools for assembly aids and clip removers, plastic levers for removing panelling or special tools for electronics.
Electrical and electronics industry: Plastic tools for insulated screwdrivers and pliers, plastic tweezers for working on sensitive components and housing openers for electronic devices are used in this area.
Medical technology and pharmaceuticals: Plastic tools are valued here for their sterilisability and chemical resistance. Applications include laboratory utensils such as pipettes and samplers, surgical instruments with plastic handles and dosing aids for medicines.
