Injection moulding

Cost-effective and precise mass production of plastic parts

Injection moulding is particularly well suited to the cost-effective production of plastic parts in medium to large batches. HAMCO processes a variety of thermoplastic and thermoelastic plastics such as PP, PA, soft PVC, TPE  and uses these to manufacture technical plastic components to customers’ specifications.

Injection moulding machine

From simple plastic parts to more complex geometries: it is not just a question of whether a component can be produced using injection moulding. What is far more important is whether injection moulding is the most technically and economically sensible solution for the specific application.

The advantages of injection moulding

Injection moulding enables a high degree of repeatability and consistent quality. Once the manufacturing process has been optimised for the component, even large quantities can be produced efficiently and cost-effectively.

This means that not only the manufacturing process but also the plastic used can be specifically tailored to the requirements of its intended application. Depending on the application, factors such as mechanical properties, resistance to temperature and chemicals, weather resistance or the desired surface finish may be crucial.

Special requirements? HAMCO delivers the solution!

Different wall thicknesses in just one component? Complex geometries and designs? Individual requirements for material hardness, temperature and weather resistance, breaking strength or other properties? At HAMCO, we have years of experience in the production of injection moulded parts and can usually offer you a solution within 14 days. Flexibility, speed and high quality standards are among our strengths. Special solutions are the rule in the injection moulding process: we build the right tool for your component within a short period of time and can therefore implement it quickly according to your specifications.

From enquiry to finished plastic part

HAMCO supports its customers in the development of plastic components, taking into account the possibilities and limitations of injection moulding at an early stage.

A component geometry that looks fine on the CAD screen is not automatically a plastic-compatible injection moulding design. Wall thickness ratios, draft angles, material flow behaviour and tooling costs all influence both the technical implementation in toolmaking and the subsequent unit costs.

Our aim: to find the right process for each customer’s specific component.

If injection moulding is the right solution for the product in question and its intended application, we work with our customers to finalise a component design suitable for plastic moulding and develop the appropriate mould concept to ensure smooth series production.

For the production of bespoke injection-moulded parts, HAMCO has a in-house toolmaking

The injection moulding process in detail

Would you like to know how a finished component is produced from plastic granules during injection moulding, and which factors influence the process? We’ll explain it Injection moulding process Step by step, from the plasticisation of the plastic through to the filling of the mould and the removal of the finished component from the mould.

Special requirements? HAMCO delivers the solution!

At HAMCO, we have decades of experience in the production of injection moulded parts made of thermoplastics, thermoelastic elastomers and PVC. After a preliminary quotation discussion in which we determine your wishes and priorities, we will generally submit a quotation tailored to your requirements within 14 days

In the injection moulding process, special solutions are the rule: within a short time, we produce the right tool for your component in our in-house toolmaking department according to the jointly agreed specifications.
