Dipped PVC round caps made of PVC of the Covytec material series PVC round caps are an important element in the complex process of wind turbine construction. Their use contributes significantly to the efficient, safe and high-quality assembly of wind turbines.
HAMCO supplies dipped PVC round caps for use in the tower flange area of wind turbines, among other things. The robust round caps with a wall thickness of over 2 mm have the important task of protecting the Anchor bolts, threaded rods and fastening screws in the area of the anchor cage attachment from the weather and therefore also from pollution and erosion as well as the assembly teams protect against the risk of injury.
Specially formulated for the wind industry for high UV radiation, the PVC material in the Covytec material range offers the proven, long-lasting performance required for onshore and offshore use - worldwide.
Areas of application of Round caps for wind turbines
PVC castings in the field of renewable energies
Customised Components with very large wall thicknesses and, in particular, components with significantly different wall thicknesses are not very suitable, both technically and economically, for injection moulding.
HAMCO utilises the following technology in the manufacture of such components, e.g. for transformer construction Casting process and to the use of the Immersion process and for PVC coatings tried-and-tested PVC types from the Covytec material range.
