* In order to be able to demould soft PVC ball handles reliably, we require, depending on the inner diameter, a Minimum wall thickness of 1.6 mm at the open end of the handles. We will be happy to tell you the required minimum wall thickness in our meaningful offers with.
We have briefly summarised the features of our bale handles, dipped, for round profile:
If you are looking for a high-quality, non-slip and durable handle for your tools, equipment or machines, our dipped PVC ball handles are an ideal choice. Thanks to the special PVC dipping process, seamless and burr-free handles are created with a particularly even, robust and pleasant PVC surface that ensures greater safety, comfort and durability in almost every application.
Ball handles belong next to Wave handles and Trough handles are among the most frequently used handle types in industry and trade. They offer a comfortable feel and enable a secure grip thanks to the non-slip properties of soft PVC, Covytec 6691 with a hardness specification of 68 Shore A.
Even with frequent or intensive use, immersed PVC handles a simple, clean and extremely durable solution. The visually shiny, smooth, seamless and therefore burr-free surface is also easy to clean.
Our dipped PVC handles are particularly versatile and suitable for many professional applications in industry and trade, even in orthopaedics and medical technology. Typical areas of application are
In principle, there is no difference in the manufacturing process for the various handle geometries produced and offered by HAMCO. Whether ball handle, wave handle or trough handle. An immersion mould, which reproduces the various geometries, is always heated to processing temperature in the oven and then immersed in a bath of liquid PVC. When the hot moulding tool is immersed in the PVC paste, which is also commonly referred to as plastisol, a skin forms on the moulding dipping cores, which continuously builds up to the desired wall thickness until the end of a defined dwell time in the dipping bath. The material thickness of the handle element to be achieved depends on the temperature of the heated mould, the dwell time of the mould in the dip tank and the viscosity of the Covytec PVC material.
After removing the dipping tool from the PVC dipping bath, the excess PVC material runs off and drips downwards under the force of gravity.
The dipping mould of the ball handles, which still has a viscoplastic PVC layer, is then reheated in the oven in order to achieve the rubber-elastic properties of the PVC material in accordance with the material data sheet. This important work step is also known as gelling. After gelling, the handle elements can be removed from the cores manually using an auxiliary tool.
In contrast to injection moulding, which usually requires a very cost-intensive injection mould, the PVC dipping process is a manufacturing process that only requires a very simple mould and no mould parting line or burr formation can occur.
The process of manufacturing PVC dip moulded parts We describe this in great detail with general design, assembly and quality information on the product pages of the PVC round capsthe Rectangular caps, the product page of the Coating of metallic components and in the knowledge section under Manufacturing processes.
Our PVC dipped parts are manufactured with a salt-free heat transfer system - completely without lithium nitrate or potassium nitrate - for Maximum purity and safety. The result is particularly clean, dimensionally stable and durable PVC dipped parts and PVC coatings that meet the highest quality requirements - manufactured in an environmentally friendly way, with improved occupational safety and easier disposal.
*Light colours that are exposed to outdoor weathering can be made UV-stable by adding a formulation ingredient. Dark colours such as black and anthracite grey are generally UV-resistant.
As both the base material (PVC plastisol) and a UV stabiliser have a yellowish inherent colour, the accuracy of the RAL colour shade is minimally affected. We confirm the colour shade similar to the RAL number.
In your role as a strategic buyer, as a contact person in the design and development department, as a technician, quality engineer, production or operations manager, you are involved in other areas of the company, detailed information about handles, especially about Available dimensions from existing tools interested.
The standard soft PVC type used by HAMCO for the Covytec material series in 68 Shore A has sufficient elasticity for installation on round tubes and round profiles, regardless of the standard or special colour selected.
The flexibility of this Covytec® PVC type ensures that the expansion, which is dependent on the diameter of the handle and the round pipe, is immediately cancelled out after installation and the technically smooth, ribbed inner contour of the PVC bale handles fits snugly against the outer wall of the pipe. The Static friction as well as from the elongation of the material centrally acting compressive forces ensure the captive hold of the mounted ball handles.
Since the PVC immersion parts of HAMCO are generally manufactured with a salt-free heat transfer system and thus no residues from the manufacturing process the shiny, smooth surface of the ball handles is also suitable for use with a Company logo in the pad printing process to be printed.
If you are looking for a reliable, durable and ergonomic handle for tools or equipment, dipped PVC bale handles are the right choice. They offer excellent value for money, protect the handle core and provide a non-slip, comfortable surface.
Whether for industry, trade or the private sector - PVC dip handles are ideal wherever safety, comfort and quality are important.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a tried-and-tested plastic material that has been used in industry and everyday life for decades. It offers several advantages for handle solutions:
1. optimum grip
The slightly flexible and slip-resistant surface of the 68 Shore A soft PVC type Covytec 6691 ensures a secure grip. Whether lifting, pulling or working under light loads - PVC effectively prevents slipping.
2. pleasant feel
The material feels warm, smooth and non-slip at the same time. The comfort is maintained even after prolonged use.
3. high load capacity
PVC handles are impact-resistant, abrasion-resistant and can withstand typical stresses such as pressure, rubbing or perspiration.
4. weather and UV-resistant
The general material property of UV resistance of the PVC material can optionally be further increased for outdoor tools, garden or sports equipment, especially with light-coloured handles.
5. cost-efficient & durable
The tried-and-tested material PVC offers an optimum ratio of workability, durability, price and convenience.
