In addition to manufacturing production parts, HAMCO also carries out supplementary processes that may be necessary or beneficial for the finished product. These include, for example, printing, packaging and assembly, as well as additional machining and finishing steps. Packaging and preparation for dispatch can also be handled by HAMCO in accordance with the component’s requirements and the customer’s specifications.
HAMCO prints on mass-produced parts manufactured in-house from soft PVC, engineering plastics and thermoplastic elastomers. Depending on the component and requirements, company logos, product markings, part numbers, scales, QR codes or warning notices can be applied, for example.
Printing is carried out as a subsequent step in the mass production process. The specific printing method is tailored to the component in question and the customer’s requirements.
To find out how the ink is transferred onto the component during pad printing and for which component geometries the process is suitable, please see The pad printing process.
HAMCO handles the assembly and fitting of production parts and sub-assemblies in accordance with customer specifications. This includes, for example, combining various components, assembling them into a functional unit and subsequently testing the completed assembly.
Depending on your requirements, we can also handle the labelling and packaging of the finished products. This means that several stages of mass production and assembly can be consolidated at HAMCO.
HAMCO packs the manufactured production parts for dispatch from the factory. The focus here is on packaging that is both cost-effective and tailored to the parts: the components must be transported safely without resorting to unnecessarily complex packaging solutions or subjecting the parts to stress caused by unsuitable packaging.
In the case of components where there is an increased risk of deformation due to their geometry or material properties, packaging that differs from the standard packaging or the use of suitable packaging aids may be required.
Where customer-specific packaging requirements apply, these are taken into account during packaging and preparation for dispatch. When coating metal parts supplied by the customer, HAMCO uses the packaging and packaging aids provided by the customer, provided that these are intended for use in the manufacturing process.
Depending on the component and the requirements, HAMCO also carries out additional machining and finishing operations on the manufactured production parts or on components supplied by the customer. These include, for example, deburring and edge trimming, or punching openings.
Preparatory work for in-house production may also be required. When coating metal components, for example, the surface may first be sandblasted to ensure that the conditions are right for the subsequent PVC protective coating to adhere reliably.
Which additional steps are advisable or necessary depends on the component, the manufacturing process and the requirements for the finished product. HAMCO tailors these steps individually to the specific series production run.
